Fly-by meal Fly-by meal. Picture by Desmond Mooney at home in Co. Longford on 29th August 2017. These three chicks were sitting on my roof for ages waiting to be fed at intervals. Difficult to catch the parent actually feeding them as everything happened so fast. Used a 300mm Sigma lens.
In-flight meal In-flight meal taken by Desmond Mooney, Co. Longford 29th August 2017. Three swallow chicks waiting to be fed on my roof. Brightened up a dull wet morning. The task was to try and capture the parent who swooped in every few minutes but was gone in a flash.
