Alan Mahy pictured at a bend in the river near the family home. They spent 135 days out of the house as remedial and renovation works were undertaken following the devasting floods of Storm Babet. The worry continues for the family with the high water levels of the Owenacurra River which is located just metres from their house. A large volume of silt and gravel was deposited at this bend in the river, changing the level of the water in the river outside their home. They are hopeful that Cork Couty Council will remove the flood debris of stone and gravel from this section and reduce the risk to houses nearby. Pic Larry Cummins
