Youghal Bay I witnessed incredible bravery this evening (07 Feb 2016) watching the crew of the Youghal pilot boat battleing terrible conditions in Youghal Bay to safetly bring in the cargo vessel Marc. The Marc had sailed from the port of Drogheda. Unlike pilot boats in larger ports, the Youghal pilot boat is a small boat and takes great skill to go out in all types of weather to safely bring cargo vessels into Youghal harbour.

This way "This Way" This photo was taken on the River walk along the banks of the River Nore, Thomastown,Co.Kilkenny. Up to a few weeks before this was taken the River broke it banks and flooded the area this field had become the River now the green colours of Spring are beginning to creep in. Head in the clouds Heads in the clouds One evening while upstairs i noticed a yellow/orange color in the clouds, so i got the camera and took a few photo's as the clouds moved away into the distance, but when i was editing one of the photo's i noticed a strange shape, so i flipped the photo and i could clearly see the shape of a head/face, it looked like Luke Kelly of the Dubliners,I showed the photo to a friend of mine and asked him if he could see a head/face shape in the clouds, yes he said look at Frank Zappa,musician,songwriter,filmmaker, i said no it's Luke Kelly and the argument started and went on for about ten minutes, until I stood back and refocused on the photo and to my amazement I could see two heads/faces in the clouds, the only thing i did to the photo was crop it a little and slightly increase the light to show up Luke's bushy hair. As you can see the trees are on the left of the photo as i flipped it around for a better view of the clouds,I hope you can see the images as this was just a freak photo shot. Taken with a standard 18-55 kit lens on a Nikon D3100

Light brings Life A lovely quiet walk through the Ballinastoe woods on the Wicklow way when I happened upon this clearing in the canopy, the explosion of life in the illuminating warm rays was astonishing, if only I could capture the scent, but alas all I could capture was the atmosphere.
