 Miriam Nyhan-Grey collects some oak trees from Martin Horgan, Parks Department, Cork City Council. Miriam Nyhan-Grey, from Ovens, was first in the queue as 1,500 native Irish trees were given away to the public by Cork City Council at Tramore Valley Park, Cork. The same number were given away on the northside of the city at The Glen River Park with hundreds queuing at both locations. It's the second year Cork City Council have participated in the scheme during National Tree Week, in conjunction with the National Tree Council and Coillte, on Wednesday 12th March 2025.
