 DKANE 7th June 2024 REPRO FREE John Linehan, Environmental Operations and Sustainability Lead at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Sarah Tynan, Project Executive, Biopharma and Food at IDA Ireland, Jack Murphy, Energy Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific  and Edel Collins, General Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Cork at the ten-year anniversary of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s on-site wind turbine in Currabinny, Cork. Providing 19% of the site’s electricity in 2023, the turbine has generated over 75,000 megawatt hours of electricity, the equivalent of powering approximately 17,000 homes for a year1, and led to the avoidance of over 44,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalents for the grid.
