LC-school-blarney-05
The old school building at Scoil Mhuire gan Smal, Blarney Co Cork was knocked/demolished in recent weeks to reveal the new secondary school building. The works at the front of the new school have not been completed and the development currently has no car parking onsite for staff, visitors and students. Footpaths have not been upgraded and a new footpath south of the school site has not been installed. Staff parking has been facilitated in the nearby 'coursing field' accessed via a dangerous section of road with no footpaths available. Residents in the nearby Castle Close say student drop-offs by parents in the mornings and afternoons has caused dangerous traffic and parking conditions in the estate. Martin Mongan ECHO story.
