LC-opera-15
Cork Midsummer Festival PR says 'An award-winning opera performance watched from above, performed on an indoor beach at Millenium Hall in Cork's City Hall. Join us for an afternoon at a crowded beach - the burning sun, bright swimsuits, and bodies sprawling lazily across a sea of towels. The squeal of children, laughter and the sound of an ice cream van in the distance. Listen as sunbathers sing of early morning flights, burnout, sunblock and pina coladas while also observing changes in the natural world around them. Winner of the Golden Lion at the 2019 Venice Biennale, this spectacular production has enchanted audiences around the world from Los Angeles and New York, Santiago to Sydney, and has been celebrated for its humorous and powerful exploration of our relationship with the planet and climate crisis. Sponsored by Infratech".
