Croom Post Mistress Ann Cagney and her husband Martin standing outdside the Post Office on High Street, Croom, Co Limerick once owned by her grand-aunt Julia Walsh. The building then known as the Arcade was a drapery, boot, and shoe warehouse situated on High Street next to the former Croom Hotel. Ann along with her husband Martin are retiring from the business on the 29h of April after fifty years of service. The Post office will move to the Spar shop on Main Street in Croom. Ann left school after completing her junior cert in 1971 and worked in the Post Office helping her mother Rita Hogan. She was taken on full-time in 1978, and a number of years her husband Martin was appointed her assistant. Picture Dan Linehan
