 Comeragh Lough (one of the Sqilloge Lakes) on August 28th 2021 in the Comeragh Mountains, Co. Waterford.
The photos were taken by myself Jimmy Condon on a Samsung S21 Ultra smartphone.
This corrie was formed during the Quaternary period by ice scouring out a deep hollow in the mountain. It has a backwall that is almost vertical and rises to a height of 230m. The rock type in the area is Devonian 'old red sandstone.'
