Irish Examiner
I arrived one evening at Bertra Beach, in the west of Ireland in the expectation of catching a nice sunset going down on Clew Bay. Unfortunately the sun didn't deliver on this occasion and as I turned around to have a look to see if there were any other opportunities to get a good shot I noticed the last of the sun on top of Croagh Patrick highlighting the Church. I immediately changed my lens to a telephoto and hand holding and only resting my elbows on a wall I took this shot. Analyzing the picture when I got home on the computer I noticed that this shot really portrays the lonely isolation of the Church as it stands on the summit looking out on the wild Atlantic Ocean.
