Past-pupils of St Francis College, Rochestown and members of the Fitzgibbon Cup-winning University College, Cork hurling team brought the Fitzgibbon Cup back to the school in memory of The Rev Fr Edwin Fitzgibbon who founded the competition in 1912 and is buried in the cemetery at the school.
