'Autumnal Tranquility'
I set-out very early last Sunday morning before sunrise to the banks of the river Blackwater near Fermoy, County Cork. Its was a very frosty start to my day. As the sun made its journey northbound from the East of the town, its first rays rested upon the trees and dense vegetation along the riverbank, and in doing so, created a surreal kaleidoscope of Autumnal technicolour and crystal clear reflections on the fast-flowing river. Adding to this visual delight, was a blanket of fog and large clumps of white fraught which danced just above the Blackwater as it meandered and swiftly-raced towards the weir in Fermoy.
