Joe Burns beside the 3-phase electricity generator that powers the production unit at the farm. In the future they hope to recycle oils used in production to burn as part of the generation process, cutting power costs and waste disposal costs.
Note- they have recently planted pear and apple trees for biodiversity. On Saturday 7th September 2019 members of the public can take 'The Journey of Crisp Production' on the farm, as part of Feast East Cork Food and Drink Festival- bookings by emailing sandra@joesfarmcrisps.ie
