Kevin O'Connor from Dingle and a member of the Dingle Green & Gold Wren gets all set for the 2017 Wren parade in Dingle due too take place on the 26th December. Wren Day, also known as Wren's Day, Day of the Wren, or Hunt the Wren Day (Irish: Lá an Dreoilín), is celebrated on 26 December, St. Stephen's Day. . Then the crowds or strawboys, celebrate the wren by dressing up in masks, straw suits, and colourful motley clothing. They form music bands and parade through the town.
