At the presentation of trophies for the Cork Primary Schools Chess competitions, sponsored by the Evening Echo, at Greenmount NS were Lisa Coughlan, deputy marketing manager, Evening Echo, and Joe Moroney, tournament organiser, with three members of the St. Anthony's BNS, Ballinlough, Cork, team which was in fourth place (from second left) Henry O'Sullivan, Oscar Andrews and Brendan O'Donoghue.
