"Ten Minutes"
This photo was taken while I was on holiday in London city with my family and some close friends in November of 2016. Travelling the world has always been an ambition of mine and the vibrancy and ebb-and-flow of one of the greatest cities in the world was eye-opening and inspiring. As I wandered with my camera around my neck, having just branched off down a side street off Picadilly Circus, I spotted these gentlemen sitting on a doorstep enjoying their lunch break. Among all the chaos of the city, all the cabs and passer-bys and buses and noise, this group of friends just sitting among all the movement enjoying their break and watching the city thrive around them, caught my eye. I waved at them from across the street, gesturing that I'd like to take their picture, to which they replied over the honking of cars with several thumbs-ups. I returned the gesture and a smile once the picture was taken and took off running, having realised I'd been left way behind by my group. The picture has always stuck with me, seeing several workers just sitting in content calm in one of the busiest cities on the globe.
