Pictured at the Western Gateway Building, UCC, Western Road, Cork, are Frank Burke, Pat Murray, Ella McCarthy, John Agger, all Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk Committee members with Elizabeth Tettedal and Dr. Declan Soden, both Cork Cancer Research Centre, at the handover of the Kerry Way Cancer Research Walk cheque for over €48,000 to the Cork Cancer Research Centre (CCRC). The fundraising walk took place in Sneem, Co. Kerry from the 1st to 3rd of July and attracted over 130 walkers from across Ireland. The walk is an annual fundraising event that has gone from strength to strength over the last ten years and has raised over €680,000 to date for cancer research.
