Equinox
As a family we climbed a local hill in Leitrim on the Spring Equinox this year, 2016. We were with a group of hill walkers and got there just as the dawn broke. The hill overlooks the cottage where Sean Mac Diarmada (one of the proclamation signatories) was born in Leitrim and I thought that on the centenary year that was in it, it was important to try and mark it in a special way as a family. On the way down I managed to take this pic of my husband Jamie walking with my youngest 6 year old daughter Siun as they walked hand in hand towards the sun as it rose over Lough Mac Nean.
