Elaine Murray, ISPCC Regional Fundraiser speaking to pupils from Scoil Ghobnatan NS, Mallow and students from Davis College, Mallow.
Davis College, Mallow fourth year (transition year) students are taking part in the Young Social Innovators programme this year. As part of this programme they chose the topic of child abuse with the message that 'Growing Up Shouldn't Hurt'. They have held a Remembrance Tree Day back in December, made an inspirational video on the issue of child abuse and their biggest achievement to date is establishing a link between the sweet shop 'Aunty Nellies' and the ISPCC. On Friday the 22nd of April they held an Awareness Day in relation to their chosen issue Child Abuse. Key figures such as the Ombudsman for Children, Niall Muldoon attended with representatives from Aunty Nellies and the ISPCC in attendance. In addition, the pupils showcased their YouTube Video and our Speak Out.
