At the launch at City Hall, Cork, of the Lord Mayor's Centenary Charity Ball which will take place in the concert hall at City Hall on March 11th. with the Evening Echo as media partner and the proceeds going to five charities were (from left) John Long, volunteer, Cork City Hospitals Children's Club; Ann Dowley Spillane, founder, The Girls Club; Alison O'Riordan, manager, Cork Volunteer Centre; the Lord Mayor, Cllr. Chris O'Leary; Anne McKernan, fund raising officer, St. Vincent de Paul; Anne-Maria O'Connor, Brú Columbanus, and two members of the organising committee Mandy O'Leary-Hegarty and Sinead Hayes.
