David Nucifora appointed IRFU Performance Director, Aviva Stadium, Dublin 17/4/2014
The IRFU today announced the appointment of David Nucifora as Performance Director. David will join the IRFU on June 1st, 2014 on a 5 year contract.
David, a former General Manager of the High Performance Unit with the Australian Rugby Union, was capped twice by Australia and coached Super Rugby franchises Ð the ACT Brumbies and the Auckland Blues.
This new role in the IRFU's professional structures will see David responsible for Planning and evaluation, Elite Player Development Pathway and succession planning, Professional Coach Development and succession planning, National Team performance, provincial Team performance, National Age Grade teams and Women's team performance, Sport science and medical services, Elite referee development and National Professional Game Board (NPGB) and policy development.
