A young girls wealks with her dog on Rossbeigh Strand at the weekend as the sun sets in the west. With restrictions placed on National Parks, Forest Walks, bridal paths and other common walking areas the last bastion for walkers is the beach. Hundreds of locals and tourists are taking to the strands for solitude and exercise as the foot and mouth scare still hovers over the countryside. However the sand dunes are still out of bounds and walking is only permitted on the beach proper.
