Independent candidates Thomas Moloney and Thomas Kiely went neck and neck for a seat in the Cork City Council South West LEA. Only four votes separated the two candidates after the eight count with Moloney on 799 and Kiely on 795, and a recount from count 6 was requested by Kiely.
