Toyota Mark 30th Anniversary of Sports Sponsorship in Ireland 7/5/2014
To mark its 30th anniversary of Sports Sponsorship in Ireland Toyota brought together its current team of Sporting Ambassadors including; Paul O’Connell, Katie Taylor, Kevin O’Brien, Liam Rushe and James McCarthy.
Over the 3 decades Toyota has been involved as a sponsor with major sports across the spectrum in Ireland including; Munster Rugby, The All Ireland Football Championship, The Irish Open Golf Championship, The Toyota Challenge of Champions in Royal Dublin (1986) featuring then Masters Champion Jack Nicklaus and Open Champion Sevy Ballesteros, Cricket Ireland, The Dublin Football and Hurling teams, The Special Olympics and Golf As Gaeilge for the Holpatrick Cup, the largest participant event in Irish Golf Clubs at that time, which ran for 20 years promoting the use of Irish language in golf clubs throughout the country.
